How much do private investigators cost for a small case?
Depending on the file, investigations can cost anywhere from $65-$200 CDN an hour. Some firms also charge out flat rates for certain services such as background checks, or surveillance. At BBI Investigations we only charge a hourly rate of $59.99 CDN for most investigative services such as driving time, surveillance, and report writing. Also, background checks have a flat rate of $235.00 CDN. Mileage is also billed out at $0.50 CDN/Km but won’t be high for smaller files.

I have been looking for a friend I lost contact with in the mid 70’s, I’d love to find him. I’ve tried myself to locate him through social media and have checked the obits with no luck. I, of course, have no idea where he might reside but I do know his name (although very common surname) where he was employed at the time, his approx. age and his father’s employment and the fact he wouldn’t be hiding. Do you think you could locate him and how much do you think it would cost? Do you have a seniors rate? I look forward to hearing from you.
